Listing Agreement and Business Terms

These terms cover any business that submits a listing or buys a Featured placement on Virginia Trusted Pros. By submitting a listing you agree to them.

What a listing is

Virginia Trusted Pros is an open directory. A listing is a place for homeowners to find you with your Virginia contractor license checked. It is not an endorsement, a ranking, or a promise from us about your work. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything in your listing.

Accuracy and licensing

You confirm that the business details you give us are true, that you are authorized to submit the listing, and that any license number you provide belongs to your business. If your license lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, you agree to tell us so we can update or remove the listing.

Free listings and the badge

A basic listing is free. In exchange, you agree to display our badge on your public website for as long as the free listing is live. The badge links back to your verified profile here.

We reserve the right to remove any free listing that removes the badge, or never adds it. We check for the badge from time to time. If we cannot find it, we may email you a reminder, and if it stays off we may take the free listing down. If you would rather not display the badge, the Featured plan does not require it.

Featured listings

Featured is a paid upgrade, $19.99/year per listing, billed as an annual subscription. A Featured listing sits above the free listings on its city and trade pages, and its link to your website is a standard followed link. Featured listings are not required to display the badge.

Featured is clearly labeled as advertising. Paying for Featured does not buy the License Verified mark, does not change how we verify a license, and does not let anyone hide accurate information. The subscription renews each year until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime. If a subscription lapses or is canceled, the listing returns to the free plan, which means the followed link becomes a nofollow link and the badge is required again.

Removal

We may edit or remove any listing that is inaccurate, that violates these terms, that involves an expired or invalid license, or that we believe could mislead homeowners. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will note it on this page. Continuing to keep a listing after a change means you accept the update.
