Listing Guidelines

These guidelines keep the directory honest and useful. Every listing must follow them. They work alongside our Listing Agreement and Business Terms.

Be accurate

List real, current information for a real Virginia home-services business. Your business name, contact details, website, and service area must be true. If something changes, update it or tell us.

Be properly licensed

If you provide a Virginia contractor license number, it must belong to your business and be active. We check it before we show a License Verified mark. That mark is a plain fact about your license on the date we checked, nothing more.

Keep the badge

Free listings display our badge on their website in exchange for the listing and the link. If the badge comes down, we may remove the free listing. Featured listings do not have to display the badge. See how listings work.

Do not mislead

Do not claim awards, ratings, or endorsements you did not earn. Do not imply that Virginia Trusted Pros ranks you, recommends you, or vouches for your work, because we do not rank or recommend anyone. Do not post another company's content or marks as your own.

Keep it clean

No illegal offers, no hate or harassment, no adult content, and no deceptive pricing. One listing per business per trade and city. Do not stuff keywords or create fake listings to game search.

We may edit or remove

We may edit or remove any listing that breaks these guidelines, that has inaccurate information, or that could mislead homeowners. Paying for a Featured placement does not change this.

Report a listing

If a listing has wrong or misleading information, tell us at [email protected] and we will look into it and fix or remove it as needed.
