This page explains how to exercise your privacy rights with Virginia Trusted Pros. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Because we do not do these things, there is no sale or targeted-advertising activity for you to opt out of. We still honor every other right below.

Rights you can exercise

If you are a Virginia resident, you can ask us to do any of the following.

• Confirm whether we process your personal data and give you access to it.
• Correct inaccurate personal data.
• Delete personal data we hold about you.
• Provide a portable copy of the data you gave us.

How to make a request

Email [email protected] with the words privacy request in the subject line, and tell us what you would like us to do. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before we act, usually by confirming details we already have on file. If someone submits a request on your behalf as an authorized agent, we may ask for proof that you gave them permission.

We will respond within the time Virginia law allows, which is currently within forty-five days, with one extension when reasonably necessary.

If we say no

If we decline your request, we will tell you why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will review the appeal and respond in writing. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Virginia Attorney General to submit a complaint.

Business listings

If your request is about an approved public listing, remember that the listing is published at the business owner's request. We can update or remove a listing on request from the business it belongs to.
